Chef James

Allow us to formally introduce you to the mastermind behind Bodhi's Bowl, Chef James Wegner.

Chef James is a former Canadian meteorologist turned culinary enthusiast on a heartfelt journey through the flavors of life. From forecasting for airports to crafting delectable dishes, his path led him to Tulsa, where he discovered a deep love for the art of cooking.

Despite initial setbacks in the meteorology industry(we salute you, Travis Meyer & Mike Grogan), James found solace and purpose in the kitchen. Guided by his passion for food and inspiration from role models along the way, he found his niche at Mother Road Market, where he's been creating happy bowls ever since.

Bodhi's Bowl, born from a playful idea and named after his beloved son, Bodhi, embodies James's commitment to creating diverse and satisfying rice bowls. From the first playful creation, El Bebe Gordito, to the meticulously perfected Redbird Bangkok, each bowl is a testament to his dedication and creativity.

Looking ahead, James dreams of expanding Bodhi's Bowl into a brick-and-mortar establishment, with signature sauces gracing pantries far and wide. With a vision for catering and private chef services, he's poised to share his culinary passion with the world.Join James on his culinary adventure, where every dish tells a story of love, perseverance, and the joy of sharing good food with others. Who knows, perhaps one day you'll savor the flavors of Bodhi's Bowls in your own home, creating memories around the dinner table that will last a lifetime.
